Who we are

What we collect
We may receive names, contact details, submission text, links, business information and message/comment information when you choose to contact or submit information to B38.
Why we use it
To operate B38, review and respond to submissions, manage listings and community communications, maintain an editorial/audit record, prevent abuse and send optional marketing where separately consented.
Lawful basis
Depending on the activity, we rely on responding to your request, legitimate interests in operating a local community-media service, or consent where appropriate.
Public information
Information you ask us to publish, such as approved event or business details, becomes public. Private relationship contact information is not intended for publication unless supplied as public contact information.
Retention
Information is retained while needed for its operational purpose, a continuing listing/communication, or a reasonable editorial/audit history, and is reviewed periodically. Marketing consent lasts until withdrawn.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Necessary providers include our hosting/server, email service and connected social platforms where an interaction originated.
Your rights
UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object, and to withdraw consent where consent applies. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
